Choosing the right printing method affects print quality, cost, durability, and brand perception. This guide is for business owners, event planners, and creatives who want high-quality shirts without wasting budget.

Step 1

Identify Your Shirt Quantity

Small runs (under 24) fit DTF; large runs (50–500+) fit screen printing. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do polo its eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

Tip: Avoid gradients in screen printing unless using specialty inks.

Evaluate Your Artwork Style

Fine details → DTF

Bold logos → Screen printing

Photos → DTG

Cotton → Any method

Blends → Screen printing or DTF
Fabric blends perform best with screen printing or DTF because these methods bond reliably to mixed fibers, ensuring strong adhesion and long-lasting prints.

Polyester → Not ideal for DTG
Polyester doesn’t absorb water-based DTG inks effectively, which can lead to dull colors and reduced durability compared to methods like screen printing or DTF.

Tip: DTF performs well where DTG struggles.
